My Brother-In-Law, Philip, and His Wife, Alina

Philip I didn't actually like much when I met him, and the feeling was mutual. He grows on you, though, and once I got to know him I found he was actually a nice kid, and he's grown into a fine young man the past few years I've known him, no matter what he thinks of himself. I'm sure his numerous girlfriends would agree with me.

He's finished high school, and did well. He even took a couple of AP classes for college credit. Philip did great on his ASVAB scores as well and got into the military. The discipline and activity really does him good and it shows. He loves playing the drums and the handbells, and computer games and Dungeons And Dragons, and even writes a little. He also, naturally, reads a lot, and shares many of his brother and mother's favorite authors, and loves sports. He likes basketball and soccer, and pumps iron, which keeps him strong and lean and wiry. And he IS nice, even if Philip thinks he's not. He's made us very proud recently by joining the Army Reserves, and then answering his country's call to fight in Iraq. After almost a year, he came home, safe and sound, and started going to the same college I'm going to, majoring in computers. On June 3rd, 2005, he married the beautiful half Hawaiian, half Chinese Alina Chang. He'd actually known her a long time. Philip met her in high school when they were on the ballroom dance team together. Alina loves to dance and is very cute, maternal and sweet. Philip also just recently landed a job as a guard at the state penitentiary, and will be starting police academy training at the end of June, 2005.
